To celebrate Ferragosto, the acclaimed Baroque ensemble Europa Galante performsunder the direction of its founder, violinist and conductor Fabio Biondi.

At the heart of the programme is Vivaldi’s iconic Le quattro stagioni, music that still astonishes with its vivid tone-painting: birdsong in spring, storms in summer, rustic dances in autumn and icy winds in winter. Alongside it, the radiant Concerto“per la Santissima Assunzione di Maria Vergine” reveals the sacred brilliance of Vivaldi’s writing. Virtuosic, theatrical and irresistibly Italian, this is Baroque music at its most exhilarating.
