Trio Concept: ‘Mozart, Brahms and Campogrande’ with Hélène Clément

A dynamic residency culminating in performance, celebrating the creativity of a rising chamber ensemble.

Event Details
Italian piano trio Trio Concept are one of the most thrilling young chamber ensembles in Europe today. Formed in 2013 by three musicians from Turin, Edoardo Grieco (violin), Francesco Massimino (cello) and Lorenzo Nguyen (piano), they have already amassed a remarkable succession of international honours. In 2023, they were the first Italian ensemble to be selected as the UK’s Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) Artists following a triumphant final at Wigmore Hall.
Their visit to Amiata Music in October is the culmination of a five-day creative development residency at the Forum, undertaken in collaboration with YCAT and under the mentorship of acclaimed violist Hélène Clément. During their time at the Forum, the Trio expand into piano quintet formation, using the exceptional acoustics and peaceful setting of the ColleMassari estate to develop and refine new repertoire before taking it out to concert halls across Europe.
The October concert presents the results of that residency: Mozart’s Piano Quintet K.493, a new work by Nicola Campogrande, and Brahms’ passionate Piano Quintet Op.60. It is a rare and privileged opportunity to witness artistic development in real time, and to share in the first public performance of work shaped by the Forum itself.
