Emily — No Prisoner Be is a 24-part song cycle by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Kevin Puts. Staged by Andrew Staples, the work weaves Dickinson’s fiercely independent poetry into a musical tapestry that shifts between intimacy and ecstasy, solitude and defiance. Classical, folk and contemporary influences merge in a celebration of artistic freedom, resilience and the enduring power of the written word.
